That was my promise to myself over winter, but as you can see I did. I think I left my inspiration in the summer of 2009. I was lost over winter, no idea what to make, no ideas coming through, not even the prettiest fabrics could inspire me, but I still bought some just in case. I had a stall at a craft fair in Woodhall Spa in the beautiful Petwood Hotel, but only sold 2 items bringing in a whopping £6.00. I was so dis-appointed, lots of people were picking things up and saying how lovely they were but no sales. I think my stall looks a but too busy and people can't see the wood for the trees. I will try and group things more next time and see how that goes.
I've added some things to my folksy shop and was really happy to receive an email letting me know that they'd sold, 5 things to 1 buyer and she'd like more if I can do it. The joy of knowing someone likes my shop has given me a glimmer of hope. Maybe I won't pack my needles away just yet.
These are my lastest idea ~ Sewing kits for young girls (or boys). I thought they'd made good party gifts or Easter presents.
